Rebecca Saunderson is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology
Rebecca graduated from the Bachelor of Medical Sciences with first class honours, from Medicine with Honours and received the Arthur Edward Mills Graduation Prize, the Harry J Clayton Memorial Prize for Medicine and Clinical Medicine, the Paediatric health education prize, as well as the Esma May Harris, Dr Catherine Hamlin, John Wait and John Flood Scholarships. She undertook her physicians training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital prior to being awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship to undertake a Masters at the University of Cambridge. She returned to complete her dermatology training in NSW and was awarded fellowship in 2018. She continues her connection to Cambridge and the Gates Cambridge community in her role as Co chair of the Gates Cambridge Alumni Association.
Rebecca is interested in complex dermatological cases, medical dermatology and paediatric dermatology, and believes in an holistic approach to patient care. She is committed to outreach and has worked in rural South Africa, Christmas Island, Central Australia and more recently in East Timor. She is currently affiliated with Royal North Shore Hospital and the Prince of Wales Hospital where she is dedicated to teaching dermatology trainees and to bettering medical practice through research. Rebecca has published in local and international peer reviewed journals.
